2025 Quran Competition
Enter in the 2025 Sanabil Schools Quran Competition
Open to the Public!
Sanabil Schools is excited to host our 2025 Quran Competition, providing all local Pre-K to 5th Grade students with an opportunity to showcase their dedication to Quran memorization! This competition is open to the public and will take place from March 10–14, 2025. All winners will be announced at the Ramadan Sanabil Community Iftar on March 15, 2025!
Students may compete in one of four categories:
- 15 Surahs of Juz ‘Amma (or 12 surahs for preK students)
- Complete Juz ‘Amma
- Juz Tabarak
- Surah Yasin
This noble event encourages students to deepen their connection with the Quran and celebrate their achievements in a supportive environment. The winners of each category will be announced on March 15, 2025 at Sanabil Elementary School, 6855 Deerpath Rd Suite D, Elkridge, MD 21075. It’s time for the Winter Session II of our new Sanabil Hifz al’Quran Academy (SHA). The purpose of our program is to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for children ages 5-10 to excel in their Qur’anic recitation and memorization, Qur’anic Arabic, and understanding of basic Islamic principles and manners. At Sanabil, we aim to foster a deep love and respect for the Qur’an, instill strong moral values and cultivate a comprehensive knowledge of Islamic teachings. Our dedicated approach ensures that each child receives personalized guidance to support their spiritual and academic growth, preparing them to be confident and knowledgeable young Muslims.
Sanabil Schools Hifz al-Qur’an Program Registration Information – Winter Session II:
Starting Date: January 27 to March 20, 2025
Times: 3:30 – 5:15 PM (*Please note: during Ramadan, class will end earlier at 4:15 PM)
Ages: 5-10 years old
Location: Sanabil Elementary School – 6855 Deerpath Road, Elkridge MD, 21075
Teachers: Ustadh Abdul Samad Kamal & Mrs. Khadeeja Zwayen
Each day will consist of a structured learning period designed to foster your child’s spiritual and academic growth in the following areas:
- Qur’anic recitation and memorization
- Qur’anic Arabic
- Understanding of basic Islamic principles and manners.

K-1st Grade Literary Lions: Reading Program
We’re excited to invite your child to our After-School Reading Program, designed especially for Kindergarten and 1st-Grade students to boost literacy skills, build confidence, and improve test scores—all while having fun!
Program Details:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays
- 3:30 – 4:15 PM
- Billed bi-weekly on Brightwheel – $77.50 or $155/month

Quran Study Halaqa and Q&A
Join us for a Quran study session at Sanabil Elementary School!
In this engaging Quran class for adults, age 15+, we will dive into the beautiful teachings of the Quran together with a halaqa, lecture and Q&A with Ustadh Abdul Samad Kamal.
